Rooms are open video chat areas that any speaker or attendee can join. They are separate from Sessions and don't have start and end times. They can be used for breakout rooms, networking areas, or anything else!

To create a room, navigate to Rooms using the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen, then click the "Add Room" button.

You'll be taken to the page where you can create your new room:

What you need to do next is:

  • Give your room a name and description,

  • Add the lead speaker or moderator as well as any additional Speakers- all of whom will have moderator privileges that subsequent attendees will not- by entering their email. Note: these users must already be registered for your event to be added.

  • You can also control who goes on stage by choosing "Must request access" from the dropdown menu next to "Are attendees allowed on stage?".

Click here to know more about how this feature works.

  • You can also choose to make your room for people with VIP ticket, Standard tickets, or both by checking the blue boxes next to "Accessible for Ticket Levels". (Check this article to know more about ticket levels)

  • You can add one or more tags to help people find your room. (Click here to know more about creating tags)

  • Add a cover image to make your room look snazzy!

When you're done, hit that "Save" button.

Returning to the Rooms screen, you will see that the room you created is listed with the status "Closed".

Click on the room and on the next screen, click "Open room" button.

Congratulations! Now your attendees will now be able to join via their own Rooms screen. 🎊 🎉
