Konf allows organizers to set a video to automatically play in place of the live stage when a Room is in its "closed" state. This can be used to show sponsor content, or pre-recorded material.

There are two ways to set a video to play in this space. Option 1 is to use a URL or embed script to display a video from an outside source such as YouTube or Vimeo. Option 2 is to upload a video file directly to Konf, which can then be selected from the Video Library. See steps below to learn how to set up each of these options.

Option 1: Video URL or Embed Script

Create a new Room, or click 'Edit' on an existing room. Scroll down to the section with the heading "Player video URL or embed script". In this box you can paste (for example) a YouTube or Vimeo URL, or an embed script copied from similar sources.

Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen when you have added your link. Now, when you or an an attendee clicks into the Room, your video link will automatically play (provided the Room is not open).

This link can be changed at any time from the Edit screen, including when a room is open.

Option 2: Local Video Library

Firstly, in the main event settings page, scroll down to the section with the heading "Local Videos Library", and choose "Enable" from the drop-down menu. Next, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen. A new section named 'Videos' will appear in the Mange Event section of your main navigation bar at the left of the screen.

In this screen, click the Add Video button to upload your chosen video file. We recommend using .mp4 or .webm video formats, but most common formats are supported up to a maximum file size of 1GB.

Here you can specify which of your created Rooms will be able to display this video. Organizers can then choose from the available uploads which video to show.

To select a video to play from your Local Video Library, create a new Room, or click 'Edit' on an existing room. Scroll down to the section with the heading "Player video URL or embed script". Here, click the button that reads Pick Video from Local Videos Library. You will now be able to select from those that have been made available to this specific room. If your desired video does not appear, check the settings on the Videos screen and ensure that this room has been added.

Note: the video being shown in the room can be changed at any time; either in the Edit screen for the room, or by clicking the Change Video File button below the stage in the Room itself.
